Children at work ???

Friends, you don’t know how lucky we are. We don’t have to go to work at this age. We can fully concentrate on studies rather than going on work. But there are some children who go at work at their golden age of studies. Yes, they are child laborers.

Children are the future of the country. It is important for the country to look after the all round development of its children. As children are leaders of tomorrow, investing in their development can lead to huge harvests at the end. We all know that human brain can continue to develop till the age of 15-16. So, If we try our best to develop the brains of children by making them study harder, then, they will be surely be able to cope up with today’s world. Instead of making children do ridiculous work, it would be better to make them study.

Child labor is a shameful act that is prevailing since ancient times in the world. Women and children are the weakest sections of society. So, people prefer to keep children as laborers as they cannot protest or they will also not have the knowledge of the current rate of wages in the market. So, they are preferred more as laborers. Moreover, these children are mainly from extremely poor families who support family by doing labor. That is why you will see that most of the extremely poor people will have dozens of children. This is because that they try to produce as many children as they can so that they could do labor to support their family. At some places, this case may not lie.

In India article 24 of the constitution has stated that Child Labor is illegal. And I think that it must be illegal in almost all the parts of world. Child labor does not mean doing business or safe work at small age. It means doing hazardous work or the work which hampers the overall progress of the child. Children are forces to do work at fireworks factory which is very hazardous work. They are also made to work in polishing factories because their hands are small with tiny fingers and so they could do the polishing work very minutely. These children are made to work in the lure of getting meal. They are also lured to get wages but then they are not. Children also do not oppose because they prefer to get meals than remaining hungry. Friends, this is the pathetic condition of these children. They are denied of love, nutrition and social stimulus. So, let us fight this demon of Child labor by making the people encouraging child labor punish harshly. They should be put behind bars. They should also me made realize that what they are doing is not really what they should do.

Besides discouraging child labor, we should also encourage literacy by teaching children by the method Each one Teach one. If each and every person in the world follows this message wholeheartedly then I am damn sure that world will move towards a brighter future.
